EXPERIENCED COMMERCIAL ROOFER

HRGM is an award winning Roofing company that has been in business since 1978.

Duties & Responsibilities

We are looking for Roofers with the following skills:

  • Commercial roofing experience preferred
  • Must be able to climb a ladder
  • Perform other duties, as and when assigned.
  • Repair and maintenance on all roof systems including BUR, Modified Bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC and slope (tile/shingles).
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks daily through completion with a strong attention to detail.
  • Must not be afraid of heights.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. regularly, repeated bending, climbing, kneeling
  • Ability to work with others.
  • Perform work in accordance with job specifications and safety guidelines. Maintain professional interaction with all customers.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening, background check and drug test.

JOB TITLE:   Service Sales Manager

SUMMARY: The Service Sales Manager is responsible for business development of our preventive maintenance service contract and roofing repairs. You will sell to new and existing clients and schedule sales appointments via self-generated leads. The right candidate will inherit an existing service portfolio and be responsible for growing the book of business through proactive client engagement, inspections, proposals, and consultative selling of roofing repairs, maintenance, and service agreements. In your role, you will work in a business-to-business setting and build a portfolio of accounts via prospecting and referrals.

Candidates with existing books of business in related trades like HVAC would be a great fit for selling roofing service work as a natural extension. We can teach the roofing expertise that may be needed.

This position reports to the VP of Operations and the Managing Director.

Location: Washington, DC

Compensation: Base + Commission

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Manage and grow an existing book of business with active service clients
  • Conduct on-site roof inspections, assessments, and generate repair/maintenance proposals
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with property managers, facility owners, and key decision-makers
  • Collaborate with internal teams including service crews, estimators, and project managers to deliver excellent service
  • Identify new service opportunities within existing client accounts and cold call/prospect for new clients
  • Track sales activity and customer interactions in Centerpoint CRM system
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets for service work
  • Stay informed on industry trends, roofing systems, and product knowledge
  • Provide excellent post-sale follow-up to ensure client satisfaction
  • Perform other related tasks as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4+ years of sales experience in Commercial Roofing, Building Envelope, or related construction services
  • Proven experience building and maintaining a client base
  • Roofing system knowledge (TPO, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, Metal, etc.) highly preferred
  • Strong communication, written, verbal, negotiation, listening and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with a hunter mindset and ability to work independently
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications and in CRM (like Centerpoint).
  • Ability to climb ladders and walk/inspect roofs.
  • Ability to travel locally (DC, MD, VA).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
