This is a unique position to join an award winning company to complete large-scale site work/park/playground projects. 


The primary job will be to oversee government projects from inception to completion. This person will be asked to assist the Project Manager in managing the project and performing such tasks as needed. This position reports to the head of the Parks and Playground Division, the Director of the Company and the President of the company.




Specific Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates, plans and supervises all construction activities on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

  • Coordinate deliveries of material with all subcontractors to ensure no hold ups or delays.

  • Directs all subcontractors to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.

  • Maintains construction schedule, identifies and solves problems.

  • Order materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the process.

  • Understands the project plans, specifications and the company-specific project process.

  • Can read cut sheets and can use them with a stakeout to perform grading and site utilities pipe installation.

  • Understands how to use a grade-level instrument to confirm site grades for utility work and general site work.

  • Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees.

  • Prepares, schedules, and supervises completion of a final punch list.

  • Is able to operate heavy construction equipment and can assist and manage a team to complete site work in-house.

  • Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately. 

  • Ensures all company employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy.

  • Maintains an organized job site, including the construction office.

  • Prepares daily reports on a daily basis, documenting all work, deliveries, and on site activities for the day.

  • Reads architectural and civil plans and specifications. Can perform takeoff of materials, equipment, and manpower needed to complete a Site Work project.



  • Site work experience is required as a Superintendent

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Must possess a valid driver's license

  • Candidates must be able to pass E-Verification rules and must have a clean criminal background and driving background

  • Candidate must be willing to become OSHA certified


Physical Demands:

  • Stay on feet all day

  • Walk a large construction site continuously throughout the day

  • Kneel and bend at the waist
